Clay Pavers at Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival
It was great to see Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival back this year and even better to see our Gromo Antica Clay Pavers from the Kessel Garden range play such major roles into two of the gardens.
Gromo Antica is one of our latest additions and showed its versatility in appearing in two very different designs.
Charlie’s Courtyard was one of two unjudged gardens in the new Get Started Gardens category. Designed by Jane Scott Moncrieff against the time when her daughter finds a home in London, it was filled with easy-to-grow plants, with our clay pavers playing a huge part in the garden’s comfortable, relaxed feel.
The second garden, The Viking Friluftsliv Garden, designed by Will Williams and built by Burnham Landscaping, couldn’t have been more different. With a Nordic, modern aesthetic, the Show Garden was aimed at showing the opportunities for outdoor living.
Our clay pavers lined the rill and plunge pool, and provided a shelf on which prospective “plungers” could seat themselves in the water. It was a subtle role, but one that gave character to the water and provided interesting texture in contrast to the natural stone paving.
“The sales staff don’t know what they’re talking about!” It’s a constant complaint, isn’t it? Well, here at Chelmer Valley, we understand how irritating and defeating that is.
Here we begin the first of our introductions – to General Manager Antony Pasquini. You can rest assured that, with a family background in the stone industry and many years’ experience in all aspects of the trade, he knows what’s what and will be able to advise you on all aspects of our clay pavers, and hard landscaping in general.
At Chelmer Valley, we’re proud to present staff who have the knowledge and the customer service ethos to look after you. Click through to read more about Antony Pasquini and future plans for Chelmer Valley.
